The reef
A long point of land stretches out from the north-western part of the island and into the sea. The wildlife on the reef and around the sea lake "Vestersjo" is very rich and the possibilities to catch sea trout for instance are good.
On the reef you will find "Ane's coffin". When Ane, the last witch on Lyø, had been burned, her coffin was cast into the sea. But it returned to the island. One more time the coffin was cast into the sea, but it would not leave Lyø. At last the coffin turned into stone and can still be seen on the head of the reef.
